Interview with Ahad Vahabzadeh

In June, DoubleTree Hilton Bristol went above and beyond and ran the Bristol 10k to support us! Some of the BAS team went along to cheer them and one of our new Trustees, Adam Baker, across the finish line. BAS Team Member Liz Clarke was lucky enough to interview the Hotel Manager, Ahad Vahabzadeh, about the race.

Liz: Firstly, we want to thank all the team and supporters for the amazing effort of running the Bristol 10k! BAS really appreciate all your support.

Liz: How many of you ran the race?

Ahad:  11 of us

Liz: What inspired you to take up this challenge?

Ahad: I have done this in past with different teams.  It is great team building exercise and for a good cause.

Liz: What was your training like? Did you train as a group?

Ahad: Some did, however most was individual.

Liz: What did you learn about your team members through doing this challenge?

Ahad: That all can exceed their own expectations.

Liz: Is there anything you’d do differently?

Ahad: No

Liz: Would you do it again?

Ahad: For sure!

Liz: How much did you raise for BAS?

Ahad: £2200

Liz: Do you have any advice for people thinking about taking on a fundraising challenge like this?

Ahad: We highly recommend that a team get together and do something like this. It brings a special bond. You will share the experiences and have great memories to talk about for a long time.

Liz: Thanks Ahad, it was great to see you at the finish line!
