BAS Carer ID Card Scheme

Bristol Autism Support is a registered charity that provides support and information for parents and carers of autistic children.

Our members enjoy a range of benefits. In order to join, a parent/carer must complete a vetting questionnaire to ensure that they are a parent/carer of an autistic child. As part of their membership pack, they receive a membership card which doubles as a carer ID card.

What the card looks like:

Many local attractions offer a carer’s concession, where the carer goes free when accompanying their disabled child (autism is a neurological disability). This is so important to our families, as it makes it much easier for them to access fun activities.

We would expect any attraction to treat this card as proof of caring responsibilities and to grant the carer’s concession or discount.
