Bristol Samaritans
01179 831000. They are there 24 hours a day to help you talk things through and get help.

NHS Direct
Dial 111. This is a 24-hour line which has psychiatric staff who can help you work out what to do next.

MIND charity

It’s important to remember that the counsellor or therapist you see does not necessarily have to have any experience with autism in order to help you. A good mental health professional will take whatever you bring and help you through the issues that are distressing you.

SANE Textcare
Having a mental health condition, or caring for someone who does, may leave you feeling distressed, lonely or isolated. Textcare provides help at times that are relevant for you.

Relationship support

Couples counselling may help you both to see things from the other’s perspective and come to an understanding. You don’t need an autism expert to help you.
